Speccy Jam 2 – Fitbin
Posted on Sep 20, 2014 in Programming

fitbin_titleIt’s had been a while since I’ve done any Game development so at the End of August I took part in the second #SpeccyJam.

Speccy Jam is a week long game jam, where indie game developers come together to create games with the flavour of the legendary 8-bit personal home computer, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. The rules say you can use any game engine or dev tools to create a game and it can be developed for ANY device or platform as long as it looks and feels like a Spectrum game.

Last year I didn’t take part in #Speccyjam but was inspired to make Spectrum game for One Game A Month.

This years game was called Fitbin, which was very inspired by Chucky Egg, and made in YoYo Game Maker in a very short period of time.

You can play the game in your Browser (doesn’t work in Chrome, sorry) or download the Windows version on GameJolt. The music by Bill Wood, created using Beepola, is also available for download.

Jupiter Hadley, who reviewed my #Flappyjam game, has reviewed Fitbin as part of her review of all the Speccy Jam games.

Leave some feedback.
